The "Outlaw" version of our "Highwayman" tow bodies is our best. It's the ultimate head-turning RV-towing machine made in the USA. It includes a sharp-looking tiara and running boards capped with diamond plate aluminum—both studded with LED lights. It comes ready to haul with seven separate compartments. Two front storage boxes with pass-through storage area, two back storage boxes, two over-the-wheel well boxes and a center hatch.

 

When you're on the road you don't have a garage so storage of those items you normally have is a problem. With the "Highwayman" you have king size storage for a lot of those items like oil, tools, chock blocks, tarps, garden hoses, lawn chairs, fishing gear, etc. You don't want this stuff smelling up your RV and living space is limited. Carol, Highway Products' Office Assistant and Safety Officer, demonstrates the optional spring-loaded pullout step. This step works great for getting up and over to unlock your hitch. Here's another feature you may like like. Only found on Highwayman RV tow bodies. Our locking compartments can be hooked up to your existing key-fob you use to unlock and lock your truck. Hit the button once and you unlock your truck, hit it twice and you unlock all seven locking compartments on your Highwayman™. Saves a lot of hassle when you have as many compartments as our Highwayman™ does.

The Wrangler™ RV tow body is a sleek, simplified version with fewer storage compartments. This model has beautiful lines and still has large side compartments with a center hatch to keep your spare tire and a few other items. This one shown with with optional tiara and running boards.

Having the Highway Products Highwayman bed on our F-450 really helps. I spent 1999 researching beds for MDTs (medium duty trucks) before we chose theirs, which happened to be on an F-450 out of Eugene, Oregon. Highway Products is located near where we resided before beginning our full-time RVing and I'd gone out to see the plant and beds. All our hiking/backpacking, mountain biking, dual-line stunt kites, kayaking and other outdoor gear is there (well, the Dagger Blackwater 10.5 recreational kayaks are on the roof rack above the cab and the bikes on a rack on the back of the Excel 5W when traveling), since we drive to locations most times to do those activities, separate from the 5W.
