Highway Products Inc., established in 1980, built its reputation on manufacturing the toughest semi truck and trailer underbody boxes on the highway. This unique line of boxes features non-sag doors and is constructed of the thickest grade of aluminum stock utilized in the industry: 1/8" marine grade weather-resistant aluminum.

Pulling out the stops

These toolboxes have internal design features that make them extra rigid and tough: 1) the larger semi boxes have both a 1/8" "C" channel stiffener bar welded along the bottom front and fully-welded gussets in the sides and corners. (features often ruled out by other manufacturers due to the extra expense); 2) A hefty continuous piano-style stainless steel hinge with a 1/4" pin attached with 1/4 inch torx screws not rivets assures long term performance; 3) Heavy-duty Hansen® "T-handle" stainless steel locks and mechanisms keep your valuables secure.

Doors that will never sag and don't need bunji cords to keep them closed.

The doors of our double-door, side open boxes close into the frame of the box. That means that they are fully supported during the constant jolting of the road. Our single door, drop open boxes have the hinge mounted to the bottom front of the box, which is extra rigid. Vibration and road stress simply can't warp or damage the hinge.

We have customers that have been transferring Highway Products tool boxes from their old trucks and trailers to their new ones for over 20 years because they last. They are truly the toughest tool boxes on the market.

Sturdy mounting systems

To properly support the boxes and their contents, we offer two mounting systems:
1) "L" brackets for frame mounting; and 2) "Plate" brackets for mounting from overhead cross members. Brackets are sold separately.
